Cod with Horseradish Sauce


  • Cod
  • 8 oz/ 226.67 g cod
  • 1 tablespoon (14g/ 15 ml) butter
  • salt to taste
  • white pepper to taste
  • Horseradish Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (14.15g/ 30 ml) greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons (14.16g/ 30 ml) sour cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons (3.75g/ 7 ml) lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon (7.5 g/ 15 ml) prepared horseradish
  • salt to taste
  • white pepper to taste


Cod- Stove Top- Cook the cod in the butter in a skillet over medium-high to high heat, flipping once when the pan side color of your fish is no longer opaque. Fish will be lightly browned, and is cooked when the internal temperature is 130F/ 54C.

Cod-Bake- Preheat the oven to 425F/218C/ Gas Mark 7. Bake the cod on parchment paper. Drizzle the cod with the butter and bake for 12-18 minutes, until firm or the internal temperature is 130F/ 54C.

Horseradish Sauce
Blend the ingredients by hand, and let the sauce chill in the fridge to meld the flavors together. You will have extra servings left from the horseradish sauce. Smaklig måltid!

Base recipe makes 2 servings, of 4 oz/113g cod and .62 oz/ 17.65 g of the horseradish sauce a piece (approximately 1 tablespoon (15 ml) plus a teaspoon (5 ml).
