- 1 avocado, deseeded
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) red onion
- 1/2 jalapeño, deseeded
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
- salt to tase
Split and deseed the avocado and the jalapeño, but do NOT chop yet. Half the onion as well. Heat a grill to high heat, and sear the avocado, red onion and jalapeño until lightly charred. Cool. Scoop the charred avocado flesh into a bowl, add the minced red onion and jalapeño. Finally, add the chopped cilantro. Juice the lime and add to the previous ingredients and stir to preferred consistency, salt to taste. Buen provecho!
